LUX03 CU CHI TUNNELS & MEKONG DELTA 1 DAY (My Tho - Ben Tre) $56/ PAX

This tour is ideal for people interested in the history of the Vietnam War or seeking a day vacation near Ho Chi Minh City. The journey brings you to two major tourist attractions: the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

07h30: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The journey will take roughly one and a half hours.

• Watch a short documentary film about Cu Chi during the war.

• Visit the boody traps used during wartime.

• Crawl through the tunnels.

• Taste the traditional cuisine, cassava with sesame, and sip panda green tea. 

• Travelers can turn back the clock and be a real guerrilla and fire AK-47s, M16s and other guns. (Cost of this must be covered by guest)

11h30: We will depart from Cu Chi to My Tho City for two hours by car. On the way to My Tho we will stop at a restaurant to have lunch.

• After arriving in My Tho you will get on a motorboat and discover 4 islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle Island.

•  Continue to Thoi Son Islet, where you’ll visit a local bee farm, taste honey tea and banana wine, and learn about the process of beekeeping and honey production.

• Take an electric car around Thoi Son village to visit a local orchard, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to traditional Southern folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử).

• Experience a rowing boat trip along small, shaded canals lined with graceful water coconut trees.

• Continue on motorboat to Ben Tre Province, known as the “Coconut Kingdom.” Visit a coconut candy workshop, learn how to make candy, and see some handicraft made out of coconut trees. Take a walk through the village and admire the fruits, flowers, trees, local houses, children and people. Return to My Tho and go back to Sai Gon.
