CU CHI TUNNELS & MEKONG DELTA 1 DAY (My Tho - Ben Tre) $34/ PAX
This tour is ideal for people interested in the history of the Vietnam War or seeking a day vacation near Ho Chi Minh City. The journey brings you to two major tourist attractions: the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.
07h30: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The journey will take roughly one and a half hours.
Watch a short documentary film about Cu Chi during the war.
Visit the boody traps used during wartime.
Crawl through the tunnels.
Taste the traditional cuisine, cassava with sesame, and sip panda green tea.
Travelers can turn back the clock and be a real guerrilla and fire AK-47s, M16s and other guns. (Cost of this must be covered by guest)
11h30: We will depart from Cu Chi to My Tho City for two hours by car. On the way to My Tho we will stop at a restaurant to have lunch.
After arriving in My Tho you will get on a motorboat and discover 4 islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle Island.
Continue to Thoi Son Islet, where you’ll visit a local bee farm, taste honey tea and banana wine, and learn about the process of beekeeping and honey production.
Take an electric car around Thoi Son village to visit a local orchard, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to traditional Southern folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử).
Experience a rowing boat trip along small, shaded canals lined with graceful water coconut trees.
Continue on motorboat to Ben Tre Province, known as the “Coconut Kingdom.” Visit a coconut candy workshop, learn how to make candy, and see some handicraft made out of coconut trees. Take a walk through the village and admire the fruits, flowers, trees, local houses, children and people. Return to My Tho and go back to Sai Gon.
